Lou Ella was born in Shelby County, Alabama, and moved to Brevard County from Anniston, Alabama in 1962. She loved the Lord and was a Christian from a very young age. She was an active member of First Baptist Church, Merritt Island, for 47 years, and served in the adult choir during that time. She also served on various committees and mission trips.
She worked at NASA as an executive assistant and was also a homemaker. She also as a volunteer in the ICU Waiting Room at Wuesthoff Hospital in Rockledge for 17 years. Her other interests included mission work, reading, orchid cultivation, Lydia Sunday School class, foreign travel and time at their cabin in the summer.
Lou Ella is survived by her devoted husband, William, and two loving sons, David Anthony (Sally) of Oviedo, Jeffrey Glenn (Susan) of Kentucky; and three granddaughters, Taylor, Regan and Brooke.
Visitation will begin at First Baptist Church of Merritt Island on Saturday, October 21, 2017 at 9:00 A.M. immediately followed by the service at 10:00 A.M.
