Louis & Joanne moved to Brevard County in 1975 from Quantico MCB, Quantico, VA
He served during WWII, the Korean War and the Vietnam War earning awards that included the Purple Heart, Legion of Merit with V, Bronze Star with V, Peruvian Navy Cross and the Meritorious Service Medal
Louis was a 32nd Degree Mason, a member of the Satellite Beach United Methodist Church, 3rd Marine Division Association, Khe Sanh Marines, 2nd Battalion, 4th Marines - The Magnificent Bastards- Association and Phi Epsilon Kappa Fraternity.
Louis is survived by his children, Stephen L. Rann, David P. Rann, R. Zoe Rann and his
siblings, Patricia Stutzbach, Phyllis Messinger and Robert Rann, his grandchildren, Kimberly Brown, Sarah Aboukhater, Rachel Wysuph, Joshua Scheiner, Katherine Rauber, James Scheiner, Paul Rann and Allison Rann, his great-grandchildren, Maxwell Brown, Elias Aboukhater, Evan Aboukhater, Margaret Brown, Baylan Wysuph, Mira Aboukhater, Lilian Wysuph, Sela Scheiner and Ava Scheiner. He was preceded in death by his wife Joanne Rann.
A Funeral Service will be held Satellite Beach United Methodist Church, 450 Lee Avenue, Saturday, August 11 at 11:00 AM, with a reception to follow at the church.
Internment will be at Quantico National Cemetery, 18424 Joplin Road (Route 619) Triangle, VA, Friday, September 14 at 12:00 PM
