Lyle Adams was a kind and sweet man who watched out for the Dempsey Drive gang and helped raise us all.  I am sorry I could not be there for the service, but send my love and regards to his family:  Ms. Jo, Martha, Gene, and Ralph.  I know you will find comfort in your sweet memories.  Best to you.

What a wonderful man he was. The Obituary was a wonderful tribute. Thank you for his service to our Country in more ways than one. Sorry I was not there in person today but I was there is spirt and a moment of  prayer was spent in his honor. Love to you all

Dear Adams family,
So sad to hear of this - just today. 

I really admired Mr. Adams (Lyle). Growing up in Cocoa Beach as close neighbors through young childhood we have all been friends and acquaintances of the family for over five decades. So many fond memories.

Mr. Adams was very good to all of us young children growing up on Dempsey Dr. - teaching us many fine life skills ranging from: fishing to how to play baseball (as coach of the "Indians" giving so many of us our first opportunity to play little league); to fixing every conceivable mechanical thing; to how to cast a fishing line; to trap-shooting and being a perennial source of knowledge about all manner of "stuff" in general. He was also a man who was fair minded and considerate of others and so had tremendous positive influence on character formation of so many young kids than he probably realized - myself especially. 

I have nothing but warm memories, praise and positive thoughts for Mr. Adams. Mere words cannot adequately convey the huge respect and fondness I have for a very decent and fine man - a man of so many talents who always went the extra mile to lend help and council; a man who always stuck up for his family and his friends in any occasion; a man who never spoke negatively about any other person in all the time I knew him.  Mr. Adams set a high-bar and an exemplary standard for all us "neighborhood kids". He had the patience of a saint  always encouraging and teaching (esp. baseball).  

I greatly regret that I did not get to speak to him before he passed and thank him for all he has done for me and our family in particular. I had not known he was in such declining health.

I am hoping that the Adams family can find peace and comfort in the certitude that they are part of a tremendous legacy and that the sadness in the passing of a great man who lived a good and long life will heal soon in that warm recollection. I am confident that Mr. Adams is in a very good place with God and smiling with pride for his time and a job well done here.

My heartfelt sympathies go out to the family and friends during this difficult time. I hope that the promise found in 1 Thessalonians 4 : 14 can bring comfort. Knowing that there is a future for the ones we have lost in death can be so reassuring.

So sorry to hear of Lyle's passing. I got to see him several times before I left Florida recently. He was a courageous and kind man who loved his family and Jim and I will miss him very much!
