Marcia Ann Garnett

Marcia "Missy" Ann Garnett of Satellite Beach, FL, passed away peacefully during the evening of July 3rd, 2026 at the age of 75. She was born on December 1st, 1950, to Mark Garnett Sr. and Hilda Marsh of Palm Beach County, FL. After graduating from the University of Florida in 1972, Missy embarked on a journey north to Massachusetts and built her own copy editing and publishing company, Cape Cod Compositors, Inc., and became a pillar of the community for over 30 years before retiring to Florida.

Missy was a deeply creative and meticulous person - what she crafted in her life whether it be the architecture of her home or wrapping gifts in a detailed and ornate fashion for her family, her creative expression was a mark of how conscientious she was about what she wanted to express to herself and others. She had a unique way of making people feel seen and would remember the small details about you - small acts of love that continue to build over time, making the relationship she had with you rich in connection and feeling seen.

Missy had a love of reading, gardening, traveling, and for many years, rescued cats and dogs, and gave them the best retirement life possible. Her kindness and compassion was not just reserved for animals, but also the community as she volunteered to work in homeless shelters during the harsh northern winters.

Missy is survived by her brother, Mark Garnett Jr., and his wife Martha Jo Garnett, and their three children, Christine, Amanda, and Joseph, and cousin Cindy Fialka and her two daughters, Jennifer and Kathleen. She was also a great aunt to nephews Ryland and Harvey, and is also survived by her partner Dave Mc Coy, and his three children Joshua, Amber, and Jesse, as well as close friends Colleen Richards, Sarah Callahan, and Hans Petersen.
