Marjorie Ann Brubaker (née Campbell), 93, of Melbourne, Florida, passed away on October 7, 2026. She was born on November 30, 1932, in Preble County, Ohio, to James and Ruth Campbell, and grew up on the family farm.
After graduating from high school, Marjorie left the farm for Dayton, Ohio, where she attended school and worked as a secretary. It was in Dayton where she met Roger Brubaker, and the two were married in 1954. In 1958, they moved to Florida, where they built their life and raised their family. With Roger often traveling for work, Marjorie frequently led the household on her own, and she was always there for her family, no matter what.
Marjorie loved to travel and she took every chance to see new places. She was also a diehard sports fan, loyal to her Cincinnati Reds and her Orlando Magic. An avid tennis player, she stayed on the court well into her mid-eighties.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Ruth Campbell, brother Donald Campbell and the love of her life, her husband, Roger.
Marjorie is survived by her son Brian (Jeanne) Brubaker of Palm Bay, FL, and her daughter Judy (Norman) Vaughan of Callahan, FL; her grandchildren Tracy (Ed) Humston of Johnstown, CO; Craig (Kim) Brubaker of Melbourne, FL; Kyle (Felicia) Brubaker of Palm Bay, FL; Deena (John) MacDavitt of Palm Bay, FL; Erin (Ron) Sheppard of Callahan, FL; Meghan (Jesse) Aspinwall of Callahan, FL; Neil (Laura Augustine) Vaughan of Jacksonville, FL; and Keith Vaughan of Denver, CO; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Marge’s visitation will be held at Life Event Center At Florida Memorial, 5950 S US Highway 1, Rockledge, FL 32955, US, on October 17, 2026, at 1:00 pm, followed by the funeral service at the same location at 1:30 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations to Candlelighters of Brevard, Inc., or the Salvation Army.
