Marie C. Eckerson, 90, of Melbourne, FL, passed away Tuesday, December 9, 2014. A native of Erie, PA, Marie moved to Florida in 1995. Marie was a member of Ascension Catholic Church. She worked as a Medical Secretary while in PA. She enjoyed playing bingo.
Marie was preceded in death by husbands, W. Robert Johnson, Jr. and Gene Eckerson. She is survived by sons, John 'JJ' Johnson of FL and Bob (Judy) Johnson of PA; daughters, Judith and Betsy Johnson, both of PA; grandchildren Tess, Jane, Renie, Nancy, Michael, and Lori; and great-grandchildren, Marisol, Natalie, Reianna, Annastasia, Alexander, Tehilla, Jordan and Devin.
A memorial service will be held Monday (12/15) at 5PM at the Life Event Center at Florida Memorial. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Wuesthoff Hospice & Palliative Care, 8060 Spyglass Hill Rd, Melbourne, FL 32940.
