Mark Charles Canfield, 69, of Orlando, Florida, passed away peacefully on September 8, 2026.
Mark was born in Stillwater, Oklahoma, to Robert and Dorothy Canfield. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, Bob Canfield and Mike Canfield. He is survived by his loving sister, Teresa Heller, as well as treasured family members and dear friends who will miss him greatly.
Mark lived a life shaped by curiosity, learning, and an appreciation for the world around him. He loved to travel, found great enjoyment in classical music, and was a lifelong and enthusiastic reader. American history held a special place among his many interests, and he was always eager to explore the people, events, and stories that shaped our nation.
Mark also enjoyed a long and distinguished career with Allstate Insurance Company, ultimately retiring as a Florida Territorial Sales Leader. He was highly respected for his knowledge, leadership, dedication, and the lasting relationships he formed throughout his career. To many of his colleagues, Mark was far more than a respected leader—he was a mentor, trusted friend, and an unforgettable presence.
Those fortunate enough to know Mark will remember his intelligence, class, curiosity, unmistakable dry humor, and the thoughtful way he shared his knowledge and perspectives. He valued meaningful conversations and genuine friendships, and he had a special way of leaving an impression on the people whose lives he touched.
Mark’s friendship was a gift. He will be deeply missed by his sister, family, friends, former colleagues, and all who had the privilege of knowing and loving him. Although his absence leaves an immeasurable space in their lives, the memories, laughter, conversations, and wisdom he shared will remain with them always.
A service celebrating Mark’s life will be held on Friday, September 25, 2026, at 11:30 a.m. at Florida Memorial Gardens, 5950 South U.S. Highway 1, Rockledge, Florida 32955.
