"Marty" Adams, 82, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, September 28, 2010. Martha Ann was born and raised in Irving, Texas. She lived a happy life, full of joy, fun, and laughter. She loved the Lord and she loved her family. She traveled much of the world with her husband while on military and White House assignments and she shared her strong Christian beliefs with many along the way. She was a living example of what a wife and mother should be. For many years, she was in pain with rheumatoid arthritis, but even then was uncomplaining and always had a smile and a bubbling laugh. Always a great friend and comfort to those who needed a tender touch or word of encouragement. She was a wonderful Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, Wife and Friend. Marty will be missed by all who knew her. She is survived be her husband of 64 years, B/General Larry Adams, US Army (Ret.); brother, Dr. John Jackson of Dallas, Texas; two daughters and son-in-laws, Sharon (Jerry) Jacobs, Susan (Stan) Gerber; nine grandchildren, Nicholas, Scott, Matthew, Jessica, Cathy, Jeremy, Craig, Jason and Chuck and Jay (deceased); and 14 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held on October 1, 2010 from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at the Florida Memorial Funeral Home, Rockledge, Florida followed by funeral services at 10:00 a.m.
