Marvin served in the Korean War. He graduated from the University of Kentucky and received a Juris Doctorate from the University of Maryland. He practiced law in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
Marvin is survived by his wife, of 52 years, Thelma Higgins Powers; his sister, Martha Anderson of Bradenton, Florida; his brother, Nathan Power of Burlington, Vermont; as well as his daughter, Anne-Whitney Sottile; and four grandchildren, Xavier Sottile, Zoe Sottile, Remus Sottile and Romulus Sottile, all of Woodbridge, Connecticut.
He will be interned at the South Florida National Cemetery on Tuesday, May 28, 2013. A memorial service will be held at the American Legion Post #348 in Cape Canaveral on Wednesday, May 29, 2013 at 3:00 p.m.
