1927-2026
After a well-lived life of 98 years filled with the love of her husband, children, and grandchildren, Mary (Valentino) Biondolillo went to be with the Lord on June 23rd, at home, in the company of her family .
Surviving her are her four children: Philip of Everson, Washington; Faye Todd (Richard) of Cocoa, Florida; Sal (Della) of Lynden, Washington; and Juliette Berry (David) of Cocoa, Florida.
In addition, she was a grandmother to 13: Marie, Gina, Biagio, Sam (Stephanie), Dan, Marianna (Robert), Croce, Sarah (James), Gary (Kyra), John (Jasmine), Luke (Brittney), Anna (Robbie), and Joe (Katie).
She was great grandmother to 25: Garrett, Abigail, Kephas, Gabriel, John, Noah, Grace, Levi, Daniel, Amy, Aralie, Leila, Chloe, Ezra, Violet, Johnny, Kaitlyn, Riley, Jack, Bruno, Bruce, Birdie, Allie, Eva, and Maggie.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Biageo, her parents Luigi and Julia Valentino, and her brothers and sisters and their spouses.
Special thanks to Faye and Richard Todd and Juliette for their many years of caring for her in their homes.
Mary was born in Brooklyn, New York. She moved to Syracuse as a teenager and eventually graduated with a B.S. degree in Education from Potsdam State Teachers College in New York State. She taught elementary school for many years in Watertown, New York and in Clifton Park, New York. In 1973, she and Biageo moved the family to Cocoa, Florida . There, they opened a sub shop (which soon became quite popular) called “The Italian Store” in Cocoa Village.
She had many gifts including teaching, cooking, painting, gardening and music. She loved old things, especially from colonial and Victorian times. She had a passion for reading and once wrote a children’s story called “Little Peanut”, which exemplified how well she related to children, interacting with them on their level. Most of all she loved God and her family, always giving them her best. She learned to trust her Lord through times both easy and difficult and held fast to Him, especially throughout her final weeks.
