

Mary will lovingly be remembered by her family and friends as a loving and caring mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Mary is survived by her brothers Ray and Ted Corle, sister-in-law Eleanor, children Cindy and Darrel, Cathy, Jeff and Linda, Rick and Millie, Gary and Pam, grand-children Holly, Lindsey, Ryan, Dee, Kathryn, Trevor, great grand-children Kenneth.
Mary was born in Queen, PA on June 30, 1934, the daughter of the late Charles E. and Amanda Pearl (Benton) Corle.
Mary was 1 of 11 children, Walt, Ruby, Shel, Pauline, Bracie, Mary, Ray, James, Ken, Clair, and Ted who grew up in this rural part of Pennsylvania. She married Ceeber E. Ake in 1950 and resided at Blue Nob where they welcomed four of their children, Cindy, Cathy, Jeff, and Rick. In 1963, Mary, Ceeber, and family moved to Merritt Island, FL where their fifth child was born, Gary.
Mary was a stay-at-home mom that loved children and not only raised her children but babysat countless neighborhood children. Mary always had home cooked meals on the dinner table where the entire family sat down for dinner each night. Later in life, Mary graduated from Merritt Island High School and obtained a Certified Nursing Assistant certification. She was always a caregiver for children and adults throughout her life including taking care of Alzheimer’s patients in their home. Mary enjoyed every activity her family took part in from fishing, crabbing, shrimping, marching bands, baseball, football and guitars. Throughout her life, Mary enjoyed gardening, walking, cooking, going on cruises, playing cards, putting puzzles together, playing Bingo, coloring, working on word search puzzles, and watching the Pittsburgh Steelers football and Tampa Bay Rays baseball games. She was a member of the Faith Lutheran Church on Merritt Island and enjoyed assisting with Altar preparations. Mary loved helping others and was much loved by family and friends.
Friends and family will be received at Life Event Center at Florida Memorial Garden (5950 South US Highway 1 Rockledge, 32955) on Sunday, August 11, 2024 viewing from 3-4 PM, services from 4-5 PM, and a gathering starting at 5 PM. Burial will take place Monday, August 12, 2024 at 10 AM, same location. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, www.alz.org
