Your name came up in conversation today and it seemed unreal you’ve been gone all this time. You had been a friend since high school but we got tight when I made it to BCC, you introduced me to Herber and the people in environmental club. I would come hangout at the house after my classes, we had some good times and made some great memories. I have a picture Somewhere of me, you, Audrey, and Priscilla lined up together on jays back porch when I was like maybe a sophomore in high school. I’m sure it’s in an album on my Facebook somewhere, I’m locked out or I would have posted it here. Anyways, I’m rambling. I had just gotten to thinking and realized we hadn’t talked in years.. miss you bud. “May the wind always be at your back and the sun upon your face, and may the winds of destiny carry you aloft to dance with the stars.” 

I miss you matty. Not a day goes by that I dont wish I could give you the hug you needed and the love you deserved. The world is less bright without you. I LOVE YOU.

My heart breaks for you and your family. I worked with Matt over the course of several years at Eastern Florida State College. He was always a joy to work with, as he was cheerful, friendly, determined, professional, and reliable. We miss him so much. Please know that you're in my thoughts and prayers for comfort and peace during this time.

Lora and Theo, 
My heart is so extremely heavy with the news of Matt's passing. I am so sorry. I hope you guys are getting tons of love and remembering all the precious moments shared with Matt. Lora, your son loved you unconditionally. Theo, I know your heart is hurting but you must live fully not only for you but also for your angel. It's hard to fathom the words to say for this moment. Just know even though Matt is laid to peace he lives on through all the many life's he has touched. Be strong.

Every day with Matt was an adventure.  I have many fond memories of having the privileged of supervising and coaching he and other students, early-early Saturday mornings.  He was a good sport, and a kind heart.

I am one of the faculty members in the technology department. In my opinion, Matt was very efficient, professional, reliable, hardworking, took his job very seriously, and was a pleasure to speak with. He always did over and beyond what he was employed to do. It is a terrible loss and I will miss him.
