

Nancy Jean Nation passed away at the age of 84 in Brevard County, Florida. She was born on November 11, 1941 in Radford, Virginia to Robert and Exie Hurt. She moved to Florida where she met the love of her life, James, who she leaves behind. Their blended family continues to experience the loving connection facilitated by her.
She is lovingly remembered as the pillar of the family who always knew the right thing to say at the right time and willing to share thoughtful and wise advice in any situation. Nancy always lit up the room with her bright smile, sense of humor and delightful laugh. She loved to travel and was always willing to try new things.
She is survived by one brother, Jack Hurt, her loving husband James Nation, daughter Shannon White, Sons Leon and Kenny, Callen Nation and wife Trish, Connie Ross and Kimberly Lippert and husband Scott and Joseph Nation. She also leaves 17 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, sisters Carol and Judy, brothers Buddy and Jerry Hurt, and daughter Rhonda Pace and grandson, William Johnson.
Services will be held on Saturday, February 14, 2026 at the Life Event Center at Florida Memorial. Visitation beginning at 1:30. Services are scheduled to begin at 2:30 p.m. followed by burial at Florida Memorial Cemetery.
