

Nancy Valantasis, age 85, of Merritt Island, FL died peacefully February 5th, 2022 at The Preserves At Palm-Aire in Pompano Beach, FL. She was born in Campbell, Ohio on May 21st 1936 and was the daughter of Harry and Myrtle Delilah Glaser.
Nancy was a beloved wife and had a wonderful life with her Husband George Valantasis.
She was a dedicated homemaker. Nancy was known to be the best cook and baker of the family. Greek dishes were her speciality. She was the happiest when her children, grandchildren, and family would come to visit. Devoted to her family, she also was devoted to her Church. Her house was the main house of all big family gatherings. Nancy also loved to fish in her backyard, play tennis, was a natural bowler, and loved to teach her grandchildren to swim when they were younger.
She was the loving Mother of her oldest Son Gus Valantasis and survived by her youngest Son Harry Valantasis. She was the cherished Yaiyai of her Grandson’s (big) George Joseph Valantasis, (little) George Joseph Valantasis, and Granddaughter Evunea Brooke Valantasis.
She was an admiring sister of Jay, Lucile, Harry, and survived by Shirley Zambetis in Youngstown, Ohio.
Nancy was also a wonderful and amazing Aunt and Cousin to many. She was loved by all, and will greatly be missed by family and friends. May her memory be eternal always and forever.
The family would like to thank the staff at Grand-villa, The Preserves at Palm-Aire and Mary, her caregiver, for their love and care.
There will be a memorial service on Thursday, February 24th at 10am at Wylie-Baxley in Merritt Island, FL. Noon for burial at Florida Memorial Gardens in Rockledge, FL. After will be a Lunch held at River Rocks in Rockledge, FL at 1:30pm to celebrate the life of Nancy Valantasis.
