

Born in Brownsville, PA, Nick was the son of Nicholas and Georgia (Rhodaback) Walker. He serviced in the Navy during WWII aboard the USS Vesole DD-878. Nick was employed for 36 years and retired from Columbia Gas of Western PA. Shortly after retiring, Nick and Gloria moved to Melbourne FL where he held various positions including apartment maintenance at Sun Point Bay, mail delivery at Harris Corp, and funeral home assistant at Fountainhead Memorial.
Nick attended First Baptist Church of Melbourne. He will be remembered most for his love for his family and Lord and Savior, Christ Jesus.
In addition to his wife Gloria, Nick is survived by their children; daughter Darla (Barry) Pichard, and son Daryl (Dawna) Walker. He is also survived by his brother James Walker and sister Ruth Bodkins, both currently residing in Ohio. Nick has four grandchildren and eight great grandchildren; Brent (Carrie) Pichard – Noah, Seth, Emma; Jared (Brianna) Pichard - Lillyannna; Daniel (Kalen) Walker – Bennett, Adalynn; and Danae (Tyler) Adams – Noelle, Colton; all of which will fondly remember their “Pap”.
The funeral service will be held on Monday, 28 August at 12:30 at The Life Event Center at Florida Memorial, 5950 US 1, Rockledge. Viewing/Visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral service with interment at Florida Memorial Gardens immediately following the service. Interment will be reserved for the family.
Memorial donations in lieu of flowers may be made to the building fund at First Baptist Church of Melbourne in Nick’s memory.
