

Norma Santorum Tetrault, 91, of Melbourne, FL passed away peacefully Thursday, July 25, 2024. She was born in Brooklyn, NY. Her parents, Sergio and Josephine Santorum moved the family to Lindenhurst, Long Island, NY and she helped to raise her brother, Sergio, Jr. and sister, Lillian. She was a straight A student at Lindenhurst High School and Treasurer of many clubs.
On April 11, 1953 she married Gilbert Tetrault. Over the next ten years they had seven children, four boys and three girls. In 1965, Norma and her husband moved the family to Satellite Beach, FL. They moved to take over the ownership of the Satellite Villa Restaurant on Highway A1A. Norma worked around the restaurant, did all the bookkeeping, and was raising seven children. After selling the restaurant in 1977, Norma enrolled at Rollins College and earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting. She became the Finance Director for the City of Satellite Beach. One of Norma’s major accomplishments as the Finance Director was connecting the department to the computer system. Norma retired from the the the City of Satellite Beach June 17, 1995.
During her retirement Norma enjoyed traveling; completing 21 cruises around the world. She was a Master Embroiderer completing hundreds of beautiful embroidery pieces. Norma was also the Treasurer of Compuvest Model Investment Club. Throughout her life Norma was President and Treasurer of the American Needlepoint Guild and the Embroiderers Guild of America. She also belonged to the Crafty Ladies at Holy Name of Jesus Church.
Norma was a loving wife for fifty-seven years. Friends and neighbors remember her for her kindness, her generosity, and always putting others before herself. She was a wonderful Mother and Grandmother. Norma is preceded in death by her husband, Gilbert Tetrault; her brother, Sergio Santorum, Jr.; her daughter, Lorraine Arnold, and her granddaughter, Stephanie “Ticka”Tetrault. She is survived by children, Linda Tetrault, Howard Tetrault and wife Liesl, Arthur and wife Tina, son-in-law Steve Arnold, Lloyd Tetrault and wife Carolyn, Kenneth Tetrault, Denise Osbrach and husband Zach; eleven grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and 21 nieces and nephews.
Visitation is Thursday, August 15, 2024 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Life Event Center at Florida Memorial, 5950 South US Highway 1, Rockledge, FL 32955. A Celebration of Norma’s life will be on Friday, August 16, 2024 at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church, 3050 N. Highway A1A, Indialantic, FL 32903.
