When Mom & Dad took Lee, Susan, & Carol to Florida after my senior year in high school, Paul & Kathy took over at home and took the full brunt of my youthful revolt. They handled me with their typical good humor and wise council, allowing me to find my way to late nights at the Exit Coffeehouse which became the touchstone of my later adult life in New Haven. Starting with the Exit Experimental Theater Co., I was able to be proud of my Uncle Paul's trailblazing work at CMED and knew we had leadership skills in our shared genes. It gave me the confidence to, then, take a leadership role at Yale's radio station which, then, led to editorship, at 35, of the Connecticut Elder, a senior citizen's newspaper (an idea hatched during a rehearsal at the Exit) . He & Kathy continued being positive nearby influences in our lives in East Haven and, later, were nearby comforts in our parents' declining years in Florida. They have been intricately involved in our family's lives and so we are grateful they have been such a part of it. Thank you, Kathy and, as you head to your eternal rewards, Paul. You are in our hearts and prayers.

To the Lally Family, I had the great pleasure of having Paul as an instructor about 10 years ago and met up with him again at Crane Creek Surgery Center. Paul's knowledge and integrity, along with his friendly personality and sense of humor will be greatly missed.

Thank you for being a fantastic grandfather. My memories of being with you are cherished. The highlight of a Florida trip is hanging with you. I remember the donuts at the Rotary meeting, going to the Space Center, your crappy old car my dad borrowed once to Epcot, your love for your (great) grandchildren, your gentleness, your respect for your wife, the respect all of your kids gave to you, your concerns of your family members, and when you spoke; everyone respected your thoughts. I enjoyed the stories that you told me about the Air Force, meeting Nana, your father, and your mother. You are truly part of my identity.

I loved my time with you and am happy that you gave me a fantastic father who mirrors your admirable attributes.

Say hi to Alex and GG for us. See ya in forty or fifty years or so.

I love you Pop!
