Paul was born in Akron, Ohio, on October 6, 1946, and his family moved to Brevard County in 1954. He was a U.S. Navy Seabee veteran and a proud American. He was an active member of the Pentecostal Lighthouse church in West Melbourne, and a volunteer at the church emergency food pantry.
Paul is survived by his wife of 51 years, Jerry Ann Shambaugh; two sons, Monte Shambaugh of Ashville, NC and David Shambaugh of Philadelphia, PA; granddaughter, Sierra Shambaugh of Titusville, FL.; brother, John Shambaugh (Mary); nephew, Michael Shambaugh (Tina); niece, Cindy Shambaugh Wilford (John); grand-nephew, Teddy; and great-grand nieces, Katie, Erin and Rachel in Marietta, GA.
Paul was dearly loved by his family and friends and will be greatly missed.
Immediate interment is planned at Florida Memorial Gardens in Rockledge, FL with a graveside family memorial service to be held at a later date.
