Paula Beatrice Wiest, 87, of Merritt Island, Florida, passed away on Monday November 9, 2020, peacefully at home. Paula was born on February 26, 1933, in Rochester, New York, and came to Brevard in 1954. During life, she worked as a daycare provider and for Lerner’s in Merritt Mall, though spent much of her life as a home maker. Before marrying her husband Paula also worked as a telephone operator in the early 50's, a job which she greatly enjoyed. She was a loving mother, a wonderful friend, and an amazing woman all around.
Paula is preceded in death by her parents John and Clarabelle Heieck, her husband William Wiest, and her grandson Michael. She is survived by her brother John Heieck, her sister Charlene Hoke, her children Kathy, Barbara, and William (Sheila), several nieces and nephews, as well as nine grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Those she is survived by will miss her dearly.
A visitation is being held at the Life Event Center at Florida Memorial on Monday November 16, 2020, at 10 am, followed by a funeral service at 11 am. A committal is to be held at Florida Memorial Gardens immediately after the service.
