Aunt Pauline was always a very Special Aunt to me. My Dad (Loyd) was the oldest brother. I was born in 1943. I have a picture of Pauline and James my Brother when they both appear to be 13 or 14. Pauline's dream was to get married and have a family and that she did! Even tho she was married she and I corresponded when she and Sid were stationed in Alaska and I was about 9 years younger than her. Would love to see those letters today! Don't know what I wrote her but she always wrote such sweet exciting letters back to me that made my day. So glad she knew Jesus as her Savior and I will meet her in Heaven to part no more! What a Family Reunion that will be !!!

She Who Is My Mom

As a child, opened my eyes to "she who" wiped my tears, kissed my boo-boos, and loved me more than life itself.

As a young woman, I opened my eyes once again and saw "she who" was a strong and independent woman. She gave me wings and taught me how to fly.

Today I open my eyes and see "she who" is my dearest and truest friend.

She encouraged my dreams, applauded my accomplishments, understood my mistakes, and has always been so proud of me.

She's my mom, and I love her more than life itself!
I will miss her so much we talked everyday for 11 and half years since my dad passed away... 


Growing up in the Nelson St. Neighborhood, are filled with wonderful memories.  The Suttons, Shipleys, Macias', Powells, Fosters, and many more.  I remember Pauline knocking on the door......popping in  for a 15 minute visit and a cup of coffee.  Pauline and Maxine had a wonderful friendship.  There were basketball games on our driveways, cookouts,kids playing in the flooded streets after hurricanes.  A happy safe place to grow up.   As the years passed, and the kids are now adults............it was with much joy..............seeing and being greeted by Sid and Pauline at church when they became greeters before the service.

So sorry to hear of Aunt Pauline’s passing... I adored her and Sid.. they were my favorite aunt/uncle... when I was growing up I always thought they were so cool! So many happy
Memories of her (and Sid) when my
Family would travel to Florida every year at Christmas... she always set a wonderful example of being a Christian... praise God that we know she now is with her Savior and her adoring husband..
