Preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Tessie and Peter J. Bonanni, maternal grandparents Evelyn and Harry T. Marinelli, and loving Aunt Cindy M. Bonanni.
Peter, known to many as PJ, is survived by his parents, Cynthia (Marinelli) Bonanni and Peter Anthony Bonanni of Melbourne Beach, Florida; his twin sisters, Amanda Bonanni and Gina Bonanni of Orlando, Florida; his aunts and uncles, Andrea and Jeff Wald of Long Beach Island NJ, Barb and Chuck Beaston of Ewing NJ, and John Marinelli of Chateaugay, NY; many cousins and their children.
Peter was born in Ewing, NJ and attended Notre Dame High School in Lawrenceville, NJ. Graduating from Melbourne High School in Melbourne, Florida in 2012, he went on to graduate from Eastern Florida State College.
Peter started his career as an inventory specialist at RGIS then moved into retail, working at BJ’s Warehouse Club as front-end customer service manager. He moved to California and worked at Sprouts, as lead produce associate. Upon returning to Florida, Peter quickly advanced from a produce associate to Assistant Produce Manager at Publix Supermarket, Inc., during his four years in S. Florida.
Peter was deeply appreciated by his team, co-workers, customers, and associates. PJ was always willing to help others, whether a friend in need of his strength, or an associate in need of his professional knowledge. He was known for his quick wit, generosity, and had a talent for making everyone around him laugh. PJ had the warmest smile, which brought happiness and made all those around him feel welcomed.
Like many, he faced challenges, and through resilience and compassion, PJ often gave back to those in need, including those who supported him through difficult times.
Peter loved the outdoors, traveling, and spending time with family and close friends. He enjoyed playing soccer, basketball, tennis, and jet skiing, especially on a recent trip to Marco Island. PJ went zip lining in Oahu, hiking Diamond Head, swimming on Oahu’s North shore and exploring the scenic beaches of St. John and St. Thomas.
Peter was a Philadelphia Eagles fan, enjoyed all types of music, especially jazz and playing chess. He liked collecting rare coins and was always seen wearing one of his many favorite watches.
PJ will be greatly missed and forever remembered.
A Celebration of Life will be held in the near future to remember Peter.
