Peter Frantzis, 88, of Melbourne, entered into rest on Thursday, November 24, 2011 at Wuesthoff Medical Center Rockledge. He was born in Chicago, IL on December 6, 1922.Pete retired as a tool and die maker from Florida Power & Light. His hobbies included golfing, playing bridge and traveling (he achieved his life-long goal of visiting all 50 states during a trip to Alaska this summer). He lived a life of service and volunteered for many organizations in Brevard County, including 24 years at Wuesthoff Medical Center Rockledge and the Grumman Gremlins based at the War Bird Museum in Titusville. Pete was also a founding member of Suntree Country Club.He was preceded in death by his wife, Kay, and his great granddaughter, Tess.Pete is survived by his daughter Catherine Spielberger (John); his sisters, Mary DelValle & Rella Frantzis; his grandchildren, John (Teri) & James Spielberger; his great grandchildren, Katie, Annie & Matthew; and many nieces and nephews.No services have been scheduled.
