Raymond W Cook, age 78, of Melbourne, passed away on Saturday, December 16, 2017. He was born in Atlanta, GA on July 17, 1939. Ray was a US Navy veteran; and moved to Brevard County in 1985 from Vero Beach. He retired as a Chief Officer for Quality Assurance Control for the Air Force. Ray was a member of Suntree Country Club.
He is survived by his wife, Bertice “Cookie” Cook; his children, Johnny Cook, Sr. (Fay), Gail Sasser (Marc), Joe Cook (Jaymie), ten grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; three sisters, Donna Cook, Muriel Randall, Cheryl Tyson (David); one brother, Richard Cook (Natalie); sister-in-law, Joan Helmke (Bill) and brother-in-law, Jerry Rentz (Lyn)
There will be a visitation held from 3-3:30pm on Saturday, December 23 at the Life Event Center at Florida Memorial, with a celebration of his life starting at 3:30pm.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Ray’s memory to: Sea Pines Rehabilitation Hospital.
