Richard is survived by his wife of 72 years, Ellen M. Huffman, resident of “Old” Eau Gallie, their son Gregory L. Huffman of Daphne, Alabama, two grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Deep family appreciation is extended to his St. John’s Episcopal Church family, his Harbor City Masonic Lodge family, The Sunwood Park Neighbors and those of the St. John’s Air Boat and Bull Creek communities. So many people have come together with support and friendship from these communities over the past 70 years and are so appreciated.
Richard was a great part of the space industry from the beginning. From the first rockets and missiles, Bomarks, Thors, Minutemen, all the way to the shuttle programs. Boeing, Boeing Services International and EG&G. So many people; remembered and loved. His devotion to St. John’s Episcopal Church and the Harbor City Masonic Lodge #318 is well know. He loved his neighbors and strived to help them in any way he could.
Although this is late, The Celebration of Life is at the St. John’s Episcopal Church at 610 Young St. Melbourne, FL 32935 on Monday, August 24th at 1:00pm and the Burial will be at Florida Memorial Gardens, 5950 S. US Hwy 1, Rockledge, FL, 32955, Tuesday, August 25th at 1:00pm.
