After graduating from Plattsburgh High School in 1960, he enlisted and served in the U.S. Air Force for 30 years, ending his career as a Chief Master Sergeant.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Wilfred "Red" and Helen Lacey and brother, Edward Lacey. Survived by his former wife, Marina Lacey; his three daughters, Debra Harris (Chuck Johnston), Helen (Frantz) Richelieu, Judith (Scott) Ragusin; his siblings, Patricia Standiford, Linda Ackey, Donna Blanchard, James Lacey, Kathleen Remer, Thomas Lacey; Robert Gendron (uncle); and his grandchildren, Lt Logan Harris (U.S. Navy), Brooke Ragusin, Cohen Harris, Paris Richelieu and Jack Ragusin.
"He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, "He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust." Psalm 91.1.
Richard Thomas Lacey will be truly missed.
