RIchard Goucher McCann passed peacefully August 29, 2021, aged 90. Born and raised in Akron, Ohio, he graduated from The Peddie School in Hightstown, New Jersey, in 1949. He studied petroleum engineering at the University of Tulsa, then enlisted in the U.S. Army, serving in Germany, before working at the Akron Porcelain Company for most of his career. He and Carolyn Ash McCann married in 1956 and enjoyed 65 years together, raising three children at Congress Lake in Hartville, Ohio, and later retiring to Melbourne, Florida. Aside from his devotion to his family, Richard loved golfing, commanding a near-zero handicap for years. His father and mother, Don and Elizabeth McCann, and brothers Don II and Robert McCann preceded him. Surviving him are his wife, children Linda Buckman, Ronnie Davis and Barry McCann, as well as two grandchildren Matthew Buckman and Lydia McCann.
