Rita Alice Busch

Rita A. Busch, a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, died Thursday, August 9, 2012. Rita was born June 14, 1917 in Troy, NY. She and her late husband resided in Hillsdale, NJ before retiring to Satellite Beach in 1977.

A devout Catholic, Rita was a member of Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church. The love of her religion was rivaled only by her love of family, who in turn cherished her.

We, her family members, feel privileged to have had such an extraordinarily special person in our lives. She will be sorely missed by all, but we are comforted by many precious memories held dear to our hearts forever.

Rita was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 57 years, Gilbert E. Busch, and daughter, Barbara J. Shelley. She is survived by her daughter, Beverly A. Nichols and her husband, Thomas, of Melbourne. Also surviving are grandsons, Christopher R. Nichols and his wife, Elizabeth, and the light of her life, great-granddaughter, Zoe, of Raleigh, NC; and Brian C. Shelley of Annapolis, MD.

Services are on Thursday, August 16, 2012, at 11:00 am, at Florida Memorial Funeral Home.
