Bob was born to Edward and Helen Klinko on April 18, 1943, in Newark, New Jersey. He served honorably in the United States Army from 1965 to 1967. Bob remained in Newark until 1979 before relocating to Manchester Township, New Jersey. Bob worked as a forklift driver for Shasta Beverages in Union, New Jersey. In 2008, he moved to Brevard County, Florida and settled in Viera.
Bob was a proud member of the Knights of Columbus, Council 6125, where he worked for many years on their Tootsie Roll Drive, raising funds for an assortment of good causes. He and his adoring wife, Carol, were familiar faces at Perkins restaurant in Viera. They ate there multiple times a week at the same booth and were fondly welcomed by the owner and staff.
Before moving to Florida, Bob enjoyed taking family and friends to the Philadelphia Spectrum to watch the WWF wrestlers. A stopover at his favorite diner to enjoy good food and good conversation before the show was always in order; Bob was nothing if not an enthusiastic conversationalist. He continued to watch wrestling into its transition to the WWE and did so until his final year of life. Bob had a wonderful sense of humor, a passion for building model battleships in his younger years, and he never turned down a Snickers.
Bob is survived by his wife of 51 years, Carol Klinko; daughter, Michelle (Douglas) Schiller; grandson, Ryan Schiller and his girlfriend, Jenny; granddaughter, Stephanie Schiller and her fiancé, Brenden.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 14, 2021 from 4pm to 6pm at the Life Event Center at Florida Memorial, 5950 South US Highway 1, Rockledge, FL 32955. Visitation will continue on Thursday, April 15, 2021 from 10:30am to 11:30am with a funeral service beginning at 11:30am. Burial will follow in Florida Memorial Gardens with a Celebration of Life gathering at the Life Event Center.
