It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Robert Wayne Kurrus Sr., who departed this life on March 26, 2026, at the age of 81. Rob left behind a legacy of cherished memories, touching the hearts of his family and friends with his compassionate and benevolent spirit.
A devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, Rob was married to his beloved wife, Carol A. Kurrus, for 61 years. Together, they raised six children: Robert Jr., Michael, Christine, Amy, Elizabeth, and Mindy. He was also a proud member of a large family, one of eight children, and is survived by his brother Larry Kurrus and sister Sissy Harrison.
Rob was a brave soul and a strong leader. He honorably served his country in the Air Force, retiring as a Major. He then continued his career at Boeing as a senior linguistics officer. His deep faith and love for the Lord were central to his life, and he was instrumental in leading many to salvation. Rob was known as a strong provider and the unwavering strength of his family.
Beyond his dedication to family and faith, Rob had a unique love for snakes, enjoyed cooking, and was particularly fond of making homemade jerky. His life exemplified this scripture Matthew 5:16, "In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven." His favorite scripture was Isaiah 40:31, "Yet those who wait for the Lord will gain new strength; They will mount up with wings like eagles."
Though Rob has passed on, his spirit, strength, and faith will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
