

Roger enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1938 and was aboard the destroyer the USS Bagley during the bombing of Pearl Harbor. Roger was stationed on DD386 (Bagley) throughout WWII. He was recalled to active duty for the Korean War and again in Vietnam. Roger remained in the USNR until 1980, retiring with as a Chief Electrician's Mate (EMC) with 28 years of total service.
Roger loved working on his three antique vehicles, while working on one of them he broke his hip in 2006, unfortunately resulting pain kept him homebound for his remaining five years.
Roger is survived by his wife, Geraldine, who he married in 1969; his sons, David and Mark Muntz; step-sons, Michael (Marie) and John (Lee Ann) Delgard; and step-daughter, Linda Delgard-Ingalls; 16 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Kenneth and Harry, R.; two sisters, Helen and Christine; a son-in-law, Chuck; and step-daughter, Debra, who passed away a week ahead of him.
There will be a visitation from 12-1 pm on Thursday, October 20 at Florida Memorial Funeral Home where a funeral service will follow at 1 pm in the chapel. Interment will be at Florida Memorial Gardens.
