She was the eleventh child of twelve children, two of whom died as infants. She graduated from Middleton High School and went on to marry her childhood sweetheart, Eugene Maxwell Glover, on December 24, 1940. They had two sons, Jerry and Michael Glover, both of whom predeceased them. Her husband, Eugene passed away August 6, 2012, just a few months before their 72nd wedding anniversary. During his career in the Army they lived in France, Germany and numerous Army bases in the states. Following his retirement, they relocated to the Washington, D.C. area where she worked for the National Security Agency and he was a civil servant. After retiring, they moved to Florida, finally settling in Melbourne.
Mrs. Glover was a faithful member of Melbourne Church of Christ. She lived her faith, always showing concern and love for those who were sick or in need. She was a talented artist and taught china painting classes for many years.
She leaves behind five grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, a daughter-in-law, Sherrie Glover of Cocoa; a former daughter-in-law, Judy Stafford of North Carolina; numerous nieces and nephews, and many dear friends and caregivers.
Visitation will be at the Melbourne Church of Christ on Sunday, April 7 at 1:00 with services following at 2:00. Donations in lieu of flowers, may be made to the Mt. Dora Christian Home and Bible School or the Melbourne Church of Christ.
