Ron Menck passed away comfortably with his Daughter and Son-in-Law by his side on January 16th, 2024 at Melbourne Regional Medical Center. He was 69 years old. We want to thank the wonderful St. Frances Reflections Hospice unit for providing wonderful, compassionate, and loving care to him in his last moments. We will forever be grateful.
Ron will be affectionately remembered by his Daughter, Natalie Wynn, Mike Wynn (Son-in-Law), Grandson’s Austin and Dylan Wynn, Kenneth Menck (Brother), Paula Menck (Sister-in-Law), Steve Cox (Brother), and Claudia Cox (Sister-in-Law). He was preceded in death by his loving Wife of 27 years, Lisette (Liz) Menck, his Mother, Bessie (Bo) Cox, and Father, Grady Cox.
Ron graduated from Florida Technical University (now known as UCF) with a Bachelors Degree in Engineering. That’s where he met his wife and life love, Liz. Out of college, he first worked for Texas Instruments in Richardson, TX, but in 1984 transferred to Melbourne, FL to start a long career at Harris Corporation as an Engineer. He retired on May 1st, 2013 after 29 years of employment. He said “It was a great provider of health, intellect, money security and many friendships.”
Ron had an enthusiasm for raising chickens, eating tacos, and traveling. He dearly loved and dotingly cared for his fur-babies, Jasper and Coco Brownie. But, his true passions and hobbies in life were golfing and Porsches. He was a very active member in both the Suntree Country Club and the Porsche Club of America. He enjoyed getting out two to three times a week to golf with many of his golf buddies and proudly drove his Porsche to and from the course. Ron hardly ever missed a Space Coast Porsche Club of America event or a race at the Daytona Speedway. He was a social butterfly, constantly making friends and keeping people laughing smiling everywhere he went.
Ron was so thrilled when he became a Grandfather. He absolutely loved his two Grandson’s with every inch of his heart. He would change his Facebook profile picture nearly daily with a new picture we sent to him. He wanted everyone to see how proud he was of his family.
A Celebration of Life Service for Ron will take place at Florida Memorial Gardens Funeral Home beginning with visitation at 1PM followed immediately with the service and burial starting at 2PM (5950 US-1 S, Rockledge, FL 32955).
