Ruth Margaret Gay, 84, went to her heavenly home on November 23, 2024 in Viera, FL. She is survived by her sons, Paul (Teresa) Gay of Great Falls, MT and Peter (Michelle) Gay of Mims, FL. She was pre-deceased by her husband Robert Gay, Jr, daughter Pamela (Wayne) Carnes of Melbourne, FL and Richard (Carol) Baron of Columbus, OH. Ruth was a proud grandmother of 15 grandchildren and 15 great-grandmother. Ruth was born in Farmington, ME and moved to Cocoa Beach, FL in 1958 with her husband Robert. She was the secretary at Dussich Dance Studio in Merritt Island, FL for over 40 years and, prior to that, a baker at Cocoa Beach High School in their cafeteria.
Services will be held at the Life Event Center at Florida Memorial Gardens, 5950 US Highway 1, Rockledge, FL 32955 on December 28, 2024. Family will be received from 1-2 pm with a Celebration of Life Service for all at 2 pm.
Ruth Gay strongly supported dance and was a benefactor to two dance studios. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Dussich Dance Studio for the purpose of a Ruth Gay Memorial Scholarship for dance attire for students.
