

Sarah Poff, a cherished mother, grandmother, and devoted friend, passed away on August 4, 2024, at the age of 76. Born on May 13, 1948, in Louisville, Kentucky, Sarah was the youngest of 5 children born to Clayton and Ruth Seals. Sarah is survived by her older brothers, Eugene and James Seals, and was preceded in death by her sisters Linda Stidham and Alice Nelson.
Sarah took great pride and joy in her children and grandchildren. She was a devoted mother to Deanna (Andrew) Dunaway, Terri Poff, Charles (Martha) Poff, and Allison (Brian) Haney. Sarah was a proud grandmother to 10 beautiful grandchildren: Hillery, Abby, Wesley, Aaron, Ella, Charlie, Hope, Noah, Ellie, and Aiden. Sarah delighted in spoiling her grandchildren every chance she could and her face always lit up the room when she’d talk about them.
A dedicated professional, Sarah worked as an administrative support specialist at Eastern Florida State College for 25 years. Her warmth, competence, and unwavering dedication made her a beloved and essential figure in the office. After her retirement, she continued to enrich the lives of those around her with her vibrant spirit, beautiful laugh, and unwavering faith. Sarah’s love for God and her strong Christian faith were central to her life, guiding her actions and interactions.
A celebration of Sarah’s life will be held on Monday, August 12, 2024, at Florida Memorial Gardens' Life Event Center in Rockledge. Visitation will begin at 2:00 p.m., with the service to follow at 3:00 p.m.
Sarah’s legacy of faith, kindness, generosity, and love will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who knew her.
