Shirley, your smile would light up the world. Our brightness has dimmed. Your love, kindness caring and strength will be missed. I am so grateful for the time I spent with you at the reunion in Tampa. That was a fun time, full of laughs. You were and always have been so beautiful, your inner beauty shining out to everyone. Heaven has gained a very special angel. You are missed by so many. My heart breaks for your family. Rest In Peace, friend.

Dear Shirley-as grandma #2 here, I will never forget our trip to Atlanta together to celebrate our granddaughter’s first birthday, loving and spoiling her as grandmas do. And our little “MARTA” adventure when we left always makes me smile. The blind leading the blind, but we stuck together and all turned out all right. Such a fun trip!

You were the sweetest, kindest, most caring lady, so loved by family and friends. My thoughts are with them now.

I will miss you Shirley.

I will forever cherish our fun times at Satellite. You were one of the kindest souls I have ever met. You were always helping someone who was in need. You had a beautiful family and I am honored to be able to say you were my very good friend. God now has another angel, God bless your family and may you rest in peace.

Some of my favorite memories were, no matter what time it was, when Shirley would come over my house and we would dress in big English hats and clothes, drink tea, and eat scones to watch and celebrate the royal weddings as she loved anything to do with the royal family. Those are memories I will cherish forever. I will miss my friend more that words can ever say.

Our deepest sympathies to Mark and the Gaskins family,
