Shirley Ann Tucker, 77, was born in VA with 16 brothers and sisters she moved to FL when 16 years old with some of her sisters.
She selflessly raised myself and my sister Gina Kernan then helped raise my three daughters, Brittney Kernan, Brianna Kernan and Brayleah Kernan instilling in them principles that have helped make them successful and the awesome girls they are today. She enriched many lives and loved music - Elvis, Tom Jones, Neil Diamond and CCR to name a few. I want to thank my late Father, Roger, who gave her a dime in 1962 when she was a waitress at the Moon Hut in Cape Canaveral, but with that chance meeting, Gina and myself wouldn't be here. By the way, she never called him but made him return and beg for a date!
I also want to thank my other Father, Larry Tucker, who has been with my mom for 31+ years! Larry gave her his all and more! I told Larry that mom was a lucky woman and Larry said, "I'm a Luckier man!" He also said, "it took 41 years to find her and she gave me the best 31 years of my life!" She couldn't have had a better companion in life! Mom certainly gave me the best 53 years of mine.
I also thank my wife, Shara Kernan for all her support through life! She is an inspiration and an example of what is good in people:) Mom will always be loved, missed dearly and thought of often! Rest in Peace Mom and enjoy our family in Heaven!
