

Stan was born March 10, 1931, in Mt. Gilead, Ohio. He was raised in Windsor, Canada; after moving back to Ohio at age 16, he joined the U.S. Air Force and served in the Korean War. He resided in Mansfield, Ohio until 1979, employed most of that time by Westinghouse, where he worked his way into financial management. After moving to Florida he was employed as a financial planner by IT&T North Electric, and later by McDonnell Douglas (Boeing) at CCAFS. In retirement, he drove cars part-time for Enterprise Rental Cars for over 15 years.
Stan leaves behind his daughters, Barbara (Bruce) Simmons of Mims, Bonita (John) Walter of Winter Haven; grandchildren, John and Jennifer Simmons, Christian and Erik Walter; and 3 nephews.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 51 years, Betty; infant daughter, Susan; parents, Alice and Charles Jones; brother Robert; sister-in-law Phyllis; son-in-law John, and nephew Allen.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 3, 2019 at the Life Event Center at Florida Memorial 5950 S US Hwy 1 Rockledge, FL from 2-3pm, and a funeral service will follow at 3pm.
