Steve was a bestie, and we shared many meals together accompanied by Jackie and Pam, our wives.  We also made laundry annual meetings and these were always enjoyable.
I did serve on the Board of Directors until 2002 and after that date, we were best friends, and had no business connection.

My thoughts and prayers and love are with the Ripley family at this time. I will always remember Steve's smile and sense of humor. He was a well respected man in his community and a shining example to us all.

Joan and I send our deepest regrets on Steve’ passing. Unfortunately, we did not get to know him as well as we would have liked, but the few times we did get together I enjoyed exchanging stories oh our past lives in PG county and Bowie.

Thirty five years ago we had the privilege of meeting Steve and Jackie Ripley. Mrs. Ripley was our daughter’s first grade teacher.  We became fast friends when we discovered that we also lived on the same street.  Steve and Jackie became our local family. 
Over the years we went to our children’s, basket ball, baseball, softball games and were their cheering parents in the bleachers.
Steve has always been there for his wife, kids and friends. He attended all the events, tournaments, Science Fairs, school plays, recitals, all the Sacraments. He was always eager to volunteer to assist with the St. Mary’s Fair, bingo and golf events.
In spite of his illness, he volunteered regularly at St. Mary’s Helping Hands. Steve was much loved and respected by all the other volunteers.
We had so much fun throughout the years. After the kids grew up and moved away we enjoyed movie, and dinner nights together with Cindy and Doug Whalin.
Our most memorable time was our cruises together. Especially, the amazing Alaskan one. In the Caribbean and Mexico we left our imprints at Senior Frog's and Margarita-ville.
Steve and Jackie will always be our Florida family. We have been to all the kids' life celebrations together. Steve, you will be greatly missed at our dinners, movie nights, and holiday celebrations and most of all for your friendship, tenacity, humor and unselfish, generous sharing of your time and talents.  A life well spent … What a special man and wonderful friend.

I’ll always remember Mr. Ripley as a man of faith and wisdom.  Over 30 years ago he taught me my favorite prayer.  It’s short, sweet, and always spreads a little joy. 

“Rub a dub dub, thanks for the grub.”

This is still my goto offering of thanks at any dining experience. I will always be grateful for all the smiles and laughter Mr. Ripley shared with me and my family.  

Steve used his amazing sense of humor to make those around him laugh and enjoy life more. I considered him a colleague, a friend and a leader in the healthcare laundry profession. I will miss Steve.

I first met Steve as a kid when we lived about 1/2 mile apart. From that point and until I last saw him at his wife Jackie's and my 50th high school reunion, he was always the same good guy with a wry smile and sense of humor.  I never had the pleasure of meeting Steve and Jackie's children, but his love and affection for Jackie was evident from the moment they first got together.  Steve was a very sincere guy and I don't think there is any greater expression of that sincerity than in the way he loved his family.  Jackie said that Steve never complained about the health issues that life dealt him, and that doesn't surprise me at all.  If anyone was ever capable of making lemonade from lemons, it was Steve.    I am sure his family takes comfort in knowing just how much he loved them.  It's hard saying goodbye to old friends, so I'll instead just say thanks for the honor of knowing you.  Rest In Peace and Godspeed, my friend.  

Steve and I go back to 2016 when I became the CEO of Parrish Medical Center and served on the Board of Space Coast Shared Services.  I was always impressed with Steve's professional knowledge, his perseverance in adapting to ever changing hospital demands, his honesty, and his wry sense of humor.  We had many trips together as I would travel as the Board rep to the International Hospital Laundry annual meetings.  One of my favorite memories was a trip to Indianapolis when Steve and I went hiking in Turkey Run SP -- we climbed hills and walked down gullies until Steve refused to walk another step.  Steve later told the laundry managers that I tried to assassinate him in order to take over the Rockledge laundry (tongue in cheek of course).  After we both retired, Steve and I and our wives had many happy meals together and reminisced about our trips to London and Ireland and many USA and Canadian cities.  We will miss Steve as Pam and I considered he and Jackie as members of our family.
