Steve leaves to cherish his memories his loving wife, Bernadette; loving children, Mark Szymkowiak (Laurie); David Szymkowiak (Lisa); loving grandchildren, Justin Szymkowiak (Evie); Tyler Szymkowiak (Claudia), and Ryan Szymkowiak (Christina). Steve was predeceased by his loving parents, Chester and Stella Szymkowiak and his brother, Gerald Szymkowiak.
Steve was born in Natrona Heights, Pennsylvania and was employed for many years at Gulf Research and Development in Harmarville, Pennsylvania. Steve was an Air Force veteran of the Vietnam war and a member of the American Legion Post 163 in Melbourne, Florida.
