Stuart John Gordon was born on May 20th, 1957 in Tennesee as the youngest of 3 children to Richard and Isabella Gordon. Stu spent his childhood as a globetrotting military brat, before the Gordon Family ultimately settled in Rockledge, Florida. It was there that young Stu showed a passion for all sports, but especially baseball, football and golf.
Upon graduating from Rockledge High School, Stuart found his career calling in the automotive industry as a sales man at Bob Steele Chevrolet. He continued his professional path in the Chevrolet family for over 40 years before proudly joining the Adrian Steel in 2019 as a sales manager. If you ask Stu’s friends to describe him they will tell you that he was a super friendly guy who loved golf, NASCAR and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, forever had a on smile and was always willing to lend a helping hand.
If you ask Stu’s family to describe him they will give you the real story: he told the absolute worst dad jokes, he would whistle along to every song that played on Yacht Rock Radio, he had an unhealthy obsession with ironing his clothes and watching any sport that ESPN was willing to air, he had a secret love for Hallmark Christmas Movies, and for some reason none of his children can figure out, he loved red kitchen ware. His family will also tell you, while he was not always the most patient person with his super hard headed children, there was no one who listened more, gave better advice or managed to get you to crack a smile even when you didn’t want to.
Stu will be missed by his children: Ashley, Christopher, Tim, Sarah & Michelle, his 5 grand children: Cassandra, Connor, Tristan, Timmy & Levi, his family, friends, and even his 2 ex-wives Donna and Lorriaine who still think he is a pretty groovy guy.
Stu’s family would be honored for anyone who loves him to join in the celebration of his life on Saturday September, 11th, 2021 at Florida Memorial Gardens in Rockledge, Florida.
We will be sending him out in the stye he would prefer, so put on your best Tommy Bahama shirt or Island wear and raise a glass to this amazing man.
