Susan Jacques

Susan Mann Jacques was born and raised on February 18, 1942 in Brooklyn, New York. She graduated from Russell Sage College with a degree in history and married George A Jacques Jr. soon after in 1963. After a brief stay in Connecticut, they moved to Columbus, Ohio where they grew their family and Sue began teaching children with learning disabilities. She was an active volunteer in the education community and in work to support children. She received a Masters in education in 1988 just before moving to Florida where she lives the rest of her life.

Susan enjoyed arts and crafts, traveling and her collection of perfume bottles.She was proud of her volunteer work and her efforts to help people especially children. She believed it was her part in helping the world.

Susan was preceded in death by her father Sol Mann and her mother Ida Carlin. She died on September 6, 2026. She was survived by George, her husband of 63 years. three children, Randy Jacques, Dan (Denise) Jacques and Amy Idit Solomon, and eight grandchildren.
