I will be missing you everyday until we see each other again

Susan was such a kind intelligent woman. We worked together and she made some beautiful quilts for me. She was so talented!! She is truly missed by many.

I’m sooo sorry she lost her life here on earth, but know she left us with wonderful memories and blessings!!

Her love for family and friends was amazing!!
She always tried to be a blessing no matter the situation. 

Heaven has received a beautiful soul the day she left this life!!! She is no longer suffering or in pain!!!

And I’m sure she is with her Mom and Dad and oh yes and Janet!!! lol And those who have gone before her.

I’m sure they are enjoying being all together again!!

Sue you have been an enlightening sister because you motivated me to start quilting.  Now I am making the quilts (since 2018) for the church bazaar, all due to your encouragement.  Thank you for pushing me and supplying me with many of the tools, instructions, and fabric for my many projects.

My grandma was always the best no matter what was happening she always had my back. She was a second mom to me I could tell her anything. My favorite memory of her was her saying "I smell fabric" after passing by a fabric store. Thank you for everything grandma I love you

Susan always had a smile. Our visits with Susan and Mike were  uplifting and we  learned new things about the family. She lovingly encouraged family, and friends. She enjoyed sewing and making blankest was one of her favorite things. They are beautiful. She spoke  joyfully about  her grandchildren and what they liked to do.  A strong Christian, we know she is at peace and in heaven.

Dear Roberts Family,

My earliest memory of Aunt Sue is that I was blessed to have her chosen to be my Godmother. Because we lived in TX, I did not see her very much growing up. I have a photo (somewhere) of her and my dear brother Mike Larkin, holding me as an infant - possibly at my baptism, as my brother Mike was my Godfather. To loose both of them within two days of each other, the same month I birth my dear son, Isaiah, stillborn is about too much to bear. However, I have faith in Christ and He will sustain us all, in our grief, while holding all three tightly in His arms. 

Aunt Sue and her kids stayed with us for a time when I was a teen. I treasure this time, though I know it was a hard time for your family, it gave me good memories of having many laughs and fun times with Aunt Sue. She was a caring aunt and always up to some type of funny antics. 

As an adult, one winter, my husband, Tom and I were able to travel to Florida to escape the Michigan weather. We made a point to visit with Aunt Sue and Julia and had a good time at the hotel pool. Fun times! 

The last time I was able to give Aunt Sue a hug was at Aunt Janet’s memorial. We all grieved for Aunt Janet at that time together. But don’t be disheartened, we have a Savior who gives us hope. To know that Grandma, Grandpa, Uncle George, Aunt Janet and now Aunt Sue are reunited in Heaven with my brother Mike and son Isaiah brings great solace. 

May God give you grace and mercy as you miss and grieve for your wife, mother and grandmother. She will be missed greatly. I am sorry and I love you all.

I meet Susan many years ago
through work at KSC. We became
good friends. She was always a
blessing. Always smiling no matter
the situation. She was so proud of
her children and grandkids and a
devoted wife. She will be dearly
missed. It is comforting knowing
she is home in heaven with Jesus
and is suffering no more. I will miss
her and think of her always.

Many amazing memories of Susan:

I met Susan through her sister Janet who became my best friend and was truly like a sister to me.

Susan took me in as her sister too and yes Yvonne as well!! You all are awesome!!

I have been sooo blessed to be a small part of of their lives and your family.

When Janet would go down to Susan’s to visit or go on a shopping spree somewhere with her or the family, Janet many times would bring  something back to Naples that Susan had bought me too.  Susan didn’t want me to be left out. Susan always made sure I knew I was part of the family!! That meant sooo much to me!!!

Through the years I have watched Susan, this beautiful woman inside and out who loves God and her family with all her heart walked with a heavy heart but also full of Love and Joy!! She would do anything she could to help her family and close friends!!

Susan was a true gift from God to not only her family but to those she met in this life!! 

Susan loved her job at NASA and was the one who actually invented the parachute that brought the shuttles and astronauts  down safely to the ground. 

She also loved quilting especially with her sisters!!
And love to make gifts for people. 

If I could say anything that Susan would say to her family and friends it would be is this:

Love The Lord with all your heart and all your soul , lean not to your own understanding and forgive those who have hurt you!

Jesus is coming soon so turn your heart to Him.
Life is short but eternity is for ever! Don’t let anything keep you from Heaven!!
I love you all with all my heart!! See you in Heaven

Miss Susan was such a kind and loving soul. I met her through my best friend, her daughter, Julia. It was very obvious to anyone that knew her, that Miss Susan adored her children and grandchildren. I watched her go out of her way to lend a hand or be encouraging and supportive. She had an extra special relationship with Julia and I know how much her heart aches to have lost her precious mother.  Although we are sad to have lost such an incredible woman, I do rejoice in knowing that Miss Susan was welcomed into Heaven by Jesus as He told her “well
done good and faithful servant.” Miss Susan loved the Lord and is dancing on streets of gold, healed and whole. Our hearts are with her family as they navigate their way through this tremendous loss. We love you all.

I will remember Susan for her smile and caring spirit. She always had a smile to share whenever I saw her. She will always be remembered when you look at the legacy she left behind and in the hearts of her daughter and grandkids.

My heart will always remember you and everytime I quilt I will know you are the one that encouraged me and got me started on block of the month (BOM) kits. Enjoyed doing them with you.  Will miss sending each months blocks pictures. Love you foreve Sis.

My mother Susan was a beautiful soul. She was nice to everyone and always knew how to make you laugh, especially cow jokes with the chick fil a cows on family night. We weren't always close, but the moment I needed her the most she was therw and she helped me through not only the good times but all the ugly, dark and dirty ones too. You raised me then turned around and helped raise our kids, taught Emma to love sewing, Tyler to love space and now seeking a career in aerospace just like you, and taught kadin to be passionate and crack jokes. You were our sideline cheerleader and coach through life. I know the kids will miss you so much, but I will miss you even more. I will definitely miss your smile.. everyone always mentioned how you had the best smile. Till we meet again in heaven, know I love you so much and will miss our trips to the grocery store or dinners with the kids. We love you mom

Susan Roberts aka grandma. You were the best grandma I could've ever ask for. You were always there for me when I needed you the most. Even when it was just the simple hey how was your day at school today or have a good day today.  And we will never forget how much you loved the smell of fabric. Each time we would drive by the fabric store she would say " i smell fabric !!! " and then laugh about it and it would Crack me up every single time she did it. And it was always fun when she would take me and my siblings to her church when we were younger and then we would go into Sunday school while she was in the big people church and then the amount of good memories that were made their we will never forget. I miss you grandma but at least I know you are not in any more pain. Until we meet again some day in heaven good bye.

I had the unique privilege of working with Susan at Lockheed Martin Cape Canaveral.  Her knowledge and experience with multiple CAD systems was amazing. She had a depth of knowledge rarely seen. She also had incredible 3D visualization skills. She was very giving of her time and knowledge. A very soulful and loving person.

I loved Susan.  I worked with her for a few years at Kennedy Space Center, in the MOB Building.  We got to know each other well, and became friends.  She was a wonderful person, and a wonderful Christian.  I remember very well, eating lunch with her at work, and she would quietly bow her head and pray before she ate.  We took a ceramics class together that was so enjoyable.  We laughed and enjoyed making different things as gifts for people.  A soft spoken, lovely lady.  We moved back to Western NY in 2011, and our get- togethers in person stopped, but we never lost touch.  I will see my beautiful friend in Heaven one day!  Love 💕 you, Susan!!  I smile when I imagine you in no pain and in the glorious presence of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!  💜

I am so sorry for your families loss. You guys are in my thoughts and prayers. Rest in peace.
