

Join us in honoring the remarkable life of Susan Roberts, a beloved member of our community who left an indelible mark on everyone she met. At the age of 70, Susan passed away peacefully at her Cocoa, Florida home on January 24, 2025, at 8:20 p.m., leaving behind a legacy of love and kindness.
Born on September 1, 1954, in Ridgewood, NJ, Susan made Cocoa her home for over 30 years. Her career as a drafter with United Space Alliance and Lockheed Martin fueled her passion for space exploration. She was an avid fan of every launch, celebrating the triumphs of human ingenuity with infectious enthusiasm. She possessed a profound passion for space exploration and eagerly anticipated every launch, whether it involved the Space Shuttle or a rocket.
Susan’s big heart and radiant and contagious smile touched the lives of many, but also brightened their lives, and her commitment to helping others was unwavering. She dedicated her time to teaching and always finding joy in uplifting those around her.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Emma (Grimm) Laverdiere; her brother, George and sister-in-law, Shirley Laverdiere; and her sister, Janet Haire.
Susan is survived by her husband of 40 years, Mike; three sons, a daughter and their spouses: Allen and Bo Roberts; Julia (Roberts) and Zachary Middlehurst; Alex and Kristina Roberts, as well as Andy and Kelly Roberts. She is also survived by six grandchildren: Tyler, Kadin, and Emma Middlehurst, and Titus, Alphonse, and Iris Roberts. Additionally, she leaves behind her sister, Grace, and her husband Tom Larkin; sister Yvonne and her husband Donald Wright (deceased); sister Marion and her husband Bob Everrett (deceased); brother Raymond and his wife Liz Laverdiere (deceased); and sister Irene and her husband John Woiasek.
We invite you to come together to celebrate Susan’s extraordinary life on February 22, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at the Life Event Center at Florida Memorial Gardens, located at 5950 US-1, Rockledge, FL 32955. Let us gather to share stories, express our gratitude, and pay tribute to a woman who exemplified love, generosity, and joy. Your presence will honor her memory and the impact she had on all our lives.
