Suzanne Girard Mendoza

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, who was the epitome of love and strength. Born on May 2, 1950, she peacefully passed at home on May 25, 2024 in the arms of her husband.

Growing up in Fall River, Massachusetts, Suzanne moved to south Florida as a teenager with her parents and sister and eventually settled in Brevard where she spent the last 46 years of her life. She was a devoted wife of 50 years and a dedicated mother and grandmother. Suzanne leaves behind her husband, Richard; her children, Robert (Tammy), Melissa (Andrew), Joslynn (Joseph), Erik (Morgan); her grandchildren Beth, Mason, Jilliana, and Jaxson; great grandchild, Colby; sister Pauline (Curtis); nieces Julie and Lindsay.

Suzanne was an accomplished Cosmetologist earlier in her life and retired as self-employed Private Investigator. Suzanne was well respected by her clients and peers. She was also a former dedicated volunteer of the US Naval Sea Cadet Corp.

Her strength was demonstrated through her life triumphs including surviving both breast and lung cancer. Her love knew no bounds and she always put her family first, sacrificing her own needs, wants and dreams to ensure the happiness and well-being of those she loved. Her kindness, generosity, and unwavering support will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

As we mourn her passing, we take comfort in knowing that she is now at peace, without pain and reunited with her loved ones who have gone before her. Her memory will live on in our hearts forever, a shining example of love and compassion.

Rest in peace, mom. You will be cherished and remembered with love forever.

A church mass for Suzanne will be held on June 10th at 10:30am at Church of Our Saviors, (5301 N Atlantic Ave. Cocoa Beach, FL 32931). Mass will be followed by her burial located at Florida Memorial Gardens (5950 US-1, Rockledge, FL 32955). Those who desire may send flowers to Florida Memorial Gardens.
