

Wes held a degree in Music from Eastern Kentucky University. He directed choirs/bands, sang with Harbor City Harmonizers, led the quartet That Old Gang of Mine, was a 53 year member of SPEBSQSA, and leader of Ragtime Rascals Band. Wes retired from KSC. He was a property owner, landlord, real estate investor, entrepreneur, and musician.
Wes is survived by children, Cindy, Judy, Chris, Marcheta; grandchildren, Kirby, Amy, Lacy, Angela, Danny, Tommy, Holly, Ethan, Calvin, Joshua, Ruth, Katy, Kylie, Caleb, Cristin; ten great-grandchildren.
Wes was predeceased by parents, T R and Nan Kirby and son, Kenzie.
Wes was a 2nd Lt U.S. Army World War II veteran in the Pacific, honorably discharged. Wes touched people through music, generosity, and kindness. He maintained his trademark sense of humor to the end. He was a Shriner, a Mason, a Kentucky Colonel, a member of FBCMI, and enjoyed traveling to Costa Rica.
Visitation will be from 10-11 am, memorial will follow from 11-12 noon, interment will follow from 12-12:30 am on Saturday March 26th, at Florida Memorial Funeral Home, 5950 S. US Highway #1, Rockledge, FL 32955, 321-636-8943.
