Wayne Marshall

1939 – 2026

James Wayne Marshall, known to all as Wayne, passed away on October 11, 2026, at the age of 87. He was born in 1939 in Milburn, Oklahoma, to Ira and Jodie Marshall.

Wayne was a retired chemist who spent his career with NASA. Outside of work, he loved reading, gardening, and playing tennis. He also enjoyed swimming and a good game of Wahoo.

He is survived by his children: Steve Marshall (Judy); Chad Marshall (Trisha); Samantha Peacock (Jeff); and Amanda Hoffman (Pete). He also leaves behind six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, who will carry his memory forward.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Carol Gross Marshall; his parents, Ira and Jodie Marshall; his sister, Neva Sue; and his brother, Travis.

A service will be held on Thursday, October 29, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Florida Memorial Gardens in Rockledge, Florida.
