He was born in Pickens, SC and resided in Melbourne since 1957. He was a long-time member and Deacon of Bethany Baptist Church. He was very proud of the bus ministry that he ran for many years at Bethany and loved working with the children. He was honored to be a WWII veteran. A very proud, humble man that loved his family dearly.
He is survived by his two daughters, Terri Ward (Bud) and Pamela Smith (Steve). A brother Don Billingsley, sisters, Dot Cotton, and Betty Hunt. Four grandchildren, Julie Ward, Chris Ward, Erik Wells, and Rachel Wells. Great grandchildren, Trillian, and Hunter Bartlett. David, Dennis, Derek, and Dominic. Many nephews and nieces.
Marvin devoted his life to his work and his family. He touched many people’s lives and will be missed dearly and remembered forever.
Calling hours will begin at 1 p.m. Friday, August 11th followed by his Celebration of Life service at 2 p.m. Both will be held at the Life Event Center at Florida Memorial, Rockledge Fl.
