William H. Brannen 87 0f Cocoa entered into rest on Monday, November 7, 2011 he was born in Moultrie, GA on July 30, 1924. William was a disabled WWII Army veteran, a member of Merritt Island Church of Christ and retired as the Postmaster of the Rockledge Post Office.
He was preceded in death by his first wife Mary Ann and his sons William H. Jr. and John Patrick Brannen. William is survived by his wife Hazel P. Brannen, his sons Tom and Michael Brannen, step-son Jimmie Philman, step-daughters Faye and Gailyn Philman, one brother, eight sisters, six grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
There will be a visitation from 5-7pm on Thursday, November 10 at Florida Memorial Funeral Home, where a funeral service will be held at 11am on Friday, November 11 in the chapel. Interment will follow at Florida Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to: Wuesthoff Brevard Hospice c/o Wuesthoff Health System Foundation P.O.
