Betty Goldblum died peacefully with her daughters by her side on Tuesday evening at the Kline Hospice House in Frederick, Maryland. Born in Chatin, Romania, Betty immigrated to Western Canada when she was five years old. She lived there until she met her beloved husband, Theodore Goldblum, a USAF officer with whom she shared her love and life for over 30 years. After living in a number of places, they settled in Silver Spring, MD in 1961 with their two daughters. Betty was a resident of Leisure World for 25 years, and spent her
last two years at Country Meadows of Frederick. She is survived by daughters Carla Flora and Fran Martin; son-in-law, Michael Flora; grandchildren, Ted, Jon and Hannah Martin, and Caitlin Walker and Alyssa Flora. She was predeceased by her husband, Theodore Goldblum; brother, Jack Soifer; sister, Ruth Brager; grandson, Bryson Flora and son-in-law, Ken Martin. She will be remembered by friends and family for her beauty, grace, and hospitality. Services will be held on Friday, July 20 at 11 a.m. at Danzansky-Goldberg Memorial Chapel in Rockville, Maryland. Interment will be at Arlington National Ceremony at a later date In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Kline Hospice House of Frederick County.
