Just hearing the news over the weekend I thought, it's not really sad news because we had him for over 100 years. My prayers and my heart are with his daughter Alex and his family.
Mr. Allen was a wonderful person on many levels. Not only did I learn so much about Radio from him... as did so many others. I learned a few life lessons too. I was privileged to take over his job and responsibilities at the Palm Beach County Emergency Operations Center, as Communications Specialist. Allen taught me a few things about the County system, too.

Allen was walking history. From his time in Burma and the South Pacific theater during WWII, to helping build the new Palm Beach Count EOC in 1999-2000. He always had time for Friends, Ham Radio, Flying, and of course Family.

This is a great loss to his family, friends, and humanity, but we were happy and privileged to have known him. Thank you Allen, for everything you are and for being with us as long as you were. 🌹

Having known Allen for many years, I and many of us in Jupiter Florida will miss him tremendously.
As the President of the Jupiter Tequesta Repeater Group I can speak for the Group that we have had many positive and memorable experiences with Allen over the many years.
Allen has been a mentor for many Ham Radio operators in our area and had so much to give of himself to all of us.
I am honored to have known Allen and will never forget all of the great leadership skills he provided.
Allen is now in peace and waiting for all of us to see him again in paradise.
May God Bless Allen and his Family always.
