Alton Winston and Anna Lou Short

Arkansas.

Anna Lou Short, 85, passed away on August 16, 2019. She was born in Dumas, Texas on April 7, 1934 to the late Robert and Frankie Lou (Ragan) Burks.

Alton Winston Short, 84, passed away on August 19, 2019. He was born in Olney, Texas on January 14, 1935 to the late John Henry and Ethel Belle (Hamson) Short.

They moved to NWA in 1969 to make this their home. They enjoyed being with family, gardening and raising livestock. Anna enjoyed crocheting and going to garage sales and Alton was an avid reader and fan of the Dallas Cowboys. He made sure watched every game.

They are both preceded in death by all their siblings.

They are survived their children, Paulette King and Roger, and Karen Aaron and Leslie, Randy Gilchrist and Diana, all of Rogers; 7 grandchildren, Randall Gilchrist, A.J. Gilchrist, Casey Aaron, Kyle Aaron, Michael King, Steven King and Marcie Platz; 16 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren.

A visitation will be on Saturday, August 24, 2019 at Rollins Funeral Home Chapel from 1 until 2 with a service to follow at 2pm. Burial will be at Pea Ridge Cemetery.
